Niels Nielsen Aamodt: He was born on Aamodt July38, 1803 by parents Niels Sigurdsen b. 1774 and Anne Maria Nielsdatter.
He was married in 1825 (engaged Aug 7) to Sara Nielsdatter, b. April 29, 1804 at Søndre Grini by parents Niels Sørensen Søndre Grini b. ca 1778 and Ingeborg Margrethe Larsdatter, b. ca 1763.

They had the following children:
Ingeborg Kirstine, born Jan 27, 1826, married Febr 12, 1847 to Jacob Isaksen.
Serine, born Febr 28, 1829, married Nov 13, 1854 to Simon Nielsen Løberg (emigrated 1849). She died Jan 15, 1916.
Niels, born Sept 3, 1835, married Ingeborg b. ca 1837., Living 1870
Anne Maria, born Nov 13, 1838
Simon, born June 15, 1842. Living 1870
Sara, born Dec 2, 1846 in America
Elise, born in America

In 1835 we find living on Søndre Grini:
Niels Sørensen - age 57 - Owner of 7.1/2 hide
Ingeborg Margrete Larsdatter - age 72
They were harvesting 3 barrels of potatoes, 1.4/8 barr. of oats, 2/8 barr. of mixed grain, 2/8 barr. of barley, 1/8 barr. of rye. They had 1 horse, 2 cows, 3 sheep, 1 pig. They also owned 1.3/4 hides in the farm Marker.

In 1835 we find living on the farm Aamodt:
Niels Sigurdsen - age 62 - owner
Anne Marie Nielsdatter - age 59 - his wife
Niels Nielsen - age 33 - blacksmith
Sara Nielsdatter - age 32 - his wife
Ingeborg Kirstine - age 10 - daughter
Sørine - age 7 - daughter
Niels - age 1/4 - son
They were harvesting 1/8 barr. of rye, 4/8 barr. of barley, 2 barr. oats, 6 barr of potatoes: They had 1 horse, 4 cows and 6 sheep.

In 1845 on Aamodt:
Niels Nielsen - age 42 - owner
Sara Nielsdatter - age 41 - his wife
Ingeborg - age 20 - daughter
Niels - age 10 - son
Anne Marie - age 6 - daughter
Simon - age 3.1/2 - son
They harvested 1.2/6 barr. of barley, 4 barr. of oats and 8 barr. of potatoes. They had 1 cow and 1 sheep.

When Niels Nielsen came to America he worked as a blacksmith in Scandinavia, Wisconsin.
He died Oct 31, 1873 and was buried at Scandinavia Luth. Cem.
His wife Sara was living in 1880.
