Engebret Madsen Ekornrød:  He was born May 16, 1816 on the small farm Ekornrød under Moe in Gjerpen. His parents
were Mads Frandsen Ekornrød and Dorte Maria Engelbretsdatter. He was baptised in Gjerpen church June 9th.

According to Ulvestad Part I, page 36: Engebret Madsen came in 1845 to Fond du Lac Co. together with Isak and Halvor
Langerød, also from Gjerpen.
