Amund Solvesen Nisterød:   Born on Nisterød under Bøe on  June 9, 1817 by parents Solve Olsen and Ingeborg Jacobsdatter.
He married Karen Halvorsdatter, who was born April 7, 1816 and died July 20, 1900, and they had the following children:
 
Marie (b. Jan 17, 1850), married to Erik Andersen
Hans (b. June 26, 1852),
Ingeborg (Emma), (b. March 28, 1855 - dead Sturgeon Bay May 16, 1933),
Ida Martine (b. Dec 8, 1857), married Johnson.
Solve (b. - dead Oct 1859)

Amund and Karen were the first couple to have a child
baptised in the Manitowoc Congregation in 1850.
